USC Michelson Center for Convergent Bioscience
Flexibility of masonry construction was a key factor in the design of Michelson Center for Convergent Bioscience located in close proximity of USC’s science and engineering buildings. A major design requirement was to develop a facility in Italian Romanesque style to reflect USC’s proud heritage and legacy of the campus. The Italian Romanesque Architectural Style employs 4-inch face brick veneer with hand set cast stone and brick arches that express permanence and importance associated with campus tradition.
