Iconic Metro Gold Line Bridge

Arcadia, CA

The Iconic Metro Gold Line Bridge superstructure over the 210 freeway in Arcadia is flanked by two 25-foot tall diameter sculptural baskets that are tied together visually by the relief patterns on the outrigger beam. Each woven basket is comprised of 60 individually designed precast stone pieces. The challenge was setting the 700 pound precast stone pieces which were created using handcrafted primary casting forms keeping the round pieces level and attaching to the reinforcing steel.

Blossom Plaza

Los Angeles, CA

Blossom Plaza, a vibrant housing project in the heart of Los Angeles’ bustling Chinatown, seamlessly blends urban convenience with residential comfort. Designed as a welcoming gateway for commuters, the development features a burnished concrete masonry unit façade that enhances both durability and aesthetic appeal. Thoughtfully integrated planters soften the streetscape, creating a sense of home amidst the city’s energy.

USC Michelson Center for Convergent Bioscience

Los Angeles, CA

Flexibility of masonry construction was a key factor in the design of Michelson Center for Convergent Bioscience located in close proximity of USC’s science and engineering buildings. A major design requirement was to develop a facility in Italian Romanesque style to reflect USC’s proud heritage and legacy of the campus. The Italian Romanesque Architectural Style employs 4-inch face brick veneer with hand set cast stone and brick arches that express permanence and importance associated with campus tradition.

Ford Theatre

Los Angeles, CA

Nestled in the Cahuenga Pass in Hollywood, the Ford Theatre is an intimate outdoor venue off of the 101 freeway just a canyon away from the Hollywood Bowl. Natural stone veneer and rough-faced stones of all shapes, sizes and colors were installed at the back stage wall. Stone colors capture the timeless character and rustic beauty of an open-air amphitheater and was ideal for this restoration.

Holy Trinity Catholic Church

Ladera Ranch, CA

California has a rich history of Spanish style architecture and keeping the tradition was the design of the new Holy Trinity Church in the Ladera Ranch community of Orange County. The goal was not to build a modern-looking church, but to construct a safe, contemporary church with the historic ambiance.
